  • How many lines? Stanzas?  Which one is different?  What is the effect on the tone?- There are 21 lines and 5 stanzas. Stanza 5 is different because is it the speaker being content with being blind and finding the beauty. The effect of not being about to see make the toon is clear, but also gloomy.
  • Paraphrase one of the stanzas.
    • Before I got my eye put out
    I liked as well to see –
    As other Creatures, that have Eyes
    And know no other way –
    • Paraphrase- 
    before when I could see
    I enjoyed it very much
