Thankfully Mala was a very intelligent women. She made it out but soon after Edek was spotted by border patrol and was murderd by Nazis. After hearing this, Mala successfully tried to commmit suicide.

They prayed and cried as they burned her remains. The prisoners who had pulled the handcart then went back to the barracks and told other prisoners what they had witnessed.
