I knew him from my history class. We were learning about him in 8th grade and now his image is very memorable. He was wearing a classic, clean looking suit. His voice was unique and deep, like he had just woken up. I noticed his respectfulness towards others.

I called out their name and he looked up at me and smiled. He shook my hand with a firm grip. He had the biggest smile on his face. I already knew that he was a very happy person.

He then said to me “good afternoon! How are you doing this lovely evening!”

He was very robust or I mean manly and fearless just by the look of him. He was calm and kind and happy to see a young kid acknowledge. He was outgoing and looked like he wanted to have a conversation with me. I was surprised that an old man like him would look forward to talking with a 14 year old.

I asked how he was able to do what he did for this country today and what it was like to fight for and run the U.S. He then told me “it was a walk in the park for me, well now that I look back at those times, it’s very hard to remember so long ago but if I was in that same position, I would be as calm, demanding and fearless as I was years ago.

I saw marther luther king jr ina building with not only black but white people but there was a dramatically difference in number of white than black of course but everyone was used to it

He just walking in to a building and everyone looked at him as if they were waiting for his arrival to do something to im like they met up there just for him

I knew from the speech he gave a few days before and because he was on the news everywhere and everyone was non stop talking about him but nobody seemed to like him like id id in this white buildinging we were in

I called their name and he looked back and looked afraid like afraid of what could happen next like if his live was in danger ,like his life depended on who was calling him like he knew something would hurt him if he looked and did something wrong in that moment

Hello young lady how are you doing did you like my speech and i said i loved it and it was inspiring to me and my family and he said we'll never stop believing in things you think are right and speak up for them ,you are the future and everyone will be counting on people your age in a few years

He was just normally trying to get something in done in an office where my mother was

He was at the bank but seemed of afraid of everyone looking at him

He was going into a bathroom where only white people were aloud to do so 89

He seemed to have moved along fast because of the fear of getting killed because of everything he said people were giving some dirty looks and me too

He would probably have a little conversation about how I know him as a general in the revolution and how his writing built the country's financial system. He would then say he had a lot on his mind for work. We go on and I start paddling we stop at the center of the lake and then she takes a deep breath and looks at the sky she then tells me with deep compassionate eyes

"I see question in your eyes"

I start to bombard her with question "How did it feel to put pencil to paper and create magic. What was your most passionate writing. What writing had the most pain? Do you have any regrets? Do you wish you did more?

She chuckles then recites her poem "Just do right. Right may not be expedient, it may not be profitable, but it will satisfy your soul. It brings you the kind of protection that bodyguards can’t give you. So try to live your life in a way that you will not regret years of useless virtue and inertia and timidity. Take up the battle. Take it up. It’s yours. This is your life.
This is your world."

I row us back to the meadow she gets off I turn around to get the boat then look her way again and she disappeared. I smile knowing that I never got my questions answered:)
