The subject of the propaganda: Taking down the dictators that plagued europe during World War by working harder. They are targeting Hitler, Tojo, and Mussolini specifically.

The message of the propaganda: the dictators are vermin and with your help we can get rid of them. We need you to reach your quota to support us before they hurt more people. They are saying, if you hate the dictators work harder.

The symbols/techniques used in the propaganda: They use loaded words in this propaganda. Beat your promise refers to how people had to reach a certain production rate. Stamp ‘‘em out was a common phrase as well that referred to people defeating the dictators. These words posed great significance to the people who read them which made them more powerful. It was widely used. They use plain folk in the form of a workers boot to make people think that they can help even though they are an ordinary person. They also use bandwagon. People see the boot and the you and I and think that all workers are working harder to help out so they should too. Finally they talk directly to the person reading it to make the feel more obligated. The blue snake represents Hitler, the yellow one represents Tojo, and the toad is Mussolini. The boot represents all workers.

The intended audience: The propaganda targets anybody who was a worker in the allied countries that were against the dictators. They want to encourage people to work harder using their hatred of dictators. The only way they could defeat the dictators was if the workers produced enough supplies. As a result they made this propaganda to make people support the cause by working harder.

Subject of the propaganda piece:
Featured above is a cartoon that features Hitler, the once-Chancellor of Germany and infamous member of the Nazi party.

The message:
It's evident that the artist wishes to convince viewers to join "car-sharing club[s]" and/or participate in carpooling. This is seemingly due to the fact that countries were universally trying to conserve resources during the WWII era. As Hitler's power continued to rise, small matters like this quickly came to importance.

Symbols/Techniques:
This cartoon clearly uses glittering generality to claim that all those who refuse to carpool facilitate Hitler's actions (by allowing him to ride on their "selfishness"). Furthermore, Hitler's outline is used as a symbol to imply that he lives on in the property of all who don't use it for the greater good (carpooling).

Intended audience:
Lastly, this piece of propaganda appeals to people who own cars or would like to buy one. Those who don't and won't will automatically flock to car-sharing clubs. Only said car-owners (or potential car-owners) can save resources wasted making or riding their cars alone.

Subject: American propaganda about the threat of Adolf Hitler and Hideki Tojo on America. This during World War II.

Message:
It illustrates the threat of Adolf Hitler and Hideki Tojo on the American borders as they are approaching and getting closer. The poster is trying to appeal to people’s emotions by trying to create fear. The use of fear is to show the threat or warning of the approaching danger. Fear is also used to try and get the people to take action. America had the advantage of being far away geographically from the other countries, but now they were approaching their borders and the fight was reaching their homeland. It would also be a threat to their democracy.

Symbols/Techniques Used:
There is use of the word “our” for the statements, “OUR HOMES ARE IN DANGER NOW!” and “OUR JOB.” It trying to tell the people that it is everyone’s job to health fight against them. Also that Hitler and Tojo are a immediate threat to everyone and their homes, so they have to take action against them. The use of fear helps spread the message across. The word “NOW” is also underlined signifying the immediate threat and that people need to take action now. Hitler and Tojo are also significantly bigger compared to the globe and they have weapons which have been used. This shows that they are large and a very dangerous threat. The poster is also trying to create fear by trying to appeal to people’s emotions. Also by making it more personal to the individual reading the poster by stating “OUR HOMES.” The “WARNING” is also written in bold letters and very largely.

Intended Audience:
The intended audience is the American citizens and the people. It is to use fear to show that Hitler and Tojo are a threat to their homes. It forces people to want to take action by appealing to their emotions to protect their homes.

The subject of the propaganda is Adolf Hitler and what his actions are. This picture is trying to show that Hitler, throughout his times of rule of Germany, he wanted more and more power. He wanted to take control over the world. One by one, he wanted to overthrow surrounding countries of Germany and rule them himself. On the wall you can see all the countries that he already took over and made them his own. It’s a collection of all the countries. The size of the country’s animals show the power of each. That’s why Russia is very large and Hitler is struggling a bit to bring them in. This piece of propaganda makes Hitler look like a villain and someone that just wants a big name and doesn’t actually care about Germany’s wellbeing. It makes him look like a killer and that he just wanted more power, land, and authority but didn’t care what happened to every countries citizens. The indented audience are people that agree with the doings of Hitler to show them how horrible he actually cane be and see the reality and to pull them out of all the brainwashing he had done. People that already hate Hitler can also see this and just get more mad, and more against him as a human.

Subject:
The subject of this propaganda is WW2 and the demonization of Hitler and the Nazi Party during the WW2 time period.
Message:
The message of this propaganda is that the Allies must put in the work to stop Hitler in this war. This propaganda is trying to get more people to join the war effort and put a stop to Hitler and the Nazis.
Symbols/techniques used:
Symbols and techniques used in this propaganda are the exaggeration of the drawing of Hitler. The way his face is drawn to make him look old and angry is the artist's way of demonizing him and getting others to demonize him as well. Another technique used is loaded words. They have underlined the word "You" and emphasized the words "STOP HIM" to really get people to side with the Allies. This also emotional appeal because the artist is saying "it's up to you" in the attempt to make people feel guilty for not joining the war on the Allies side.
Intended Audience:
In this piece of propaganda, the Allies are targeting Germany/Hitler and the Nazis.

Subject: Hitler

Message: The propaganda cartoon is depicting Hitler as s soft, kind-hearted man who likes children. In reality however, Hitler was an extremely bad person who was very negative and dangerous.

Symbols/techniques used: Techniques used include common folks and emotional appeal. In the cartoon, Hitler is holding a little girl and appears to surrounded by more children. These children seem to be common people, which may have had significance back then to people. Additionally, emotional appeal is used to please the audience since Hitler is looks happy and is playing with a little girl which might have made people emotional and convinced by the propaganda.

Intended Audience: The intended audience is probably the common people such as citizens of Germany. Hitler may have wanted to prevent any kind of dislike or motivation to revolt in the non-Jew Germans, so lots of propaganda may have been produced to make him seem better.
