I had talked to a few experienced skiers, and they all told me if I wanted to learn I should take a lesson instead of learning from my friends.

What did I think:

At first, I was disappointed in myself. I didn't know how to ski and I was too afraid to try. The man at the ski shop who helped me find my gear told me the best thing I could do was take a lesson. I had to keep reminding myself that this sport was not easy, and if I didn't know what I was doing I could get seriously injured.

What happened afterward:

After I took my ski lesson I was so relieved. I actually KNEW what I was doing and wasn't afraid to ski down the mountain. I was a little nervous because I was new to skiing, but I was able to make it down without falling and for that I'm very proud of myself.

Lesson 1: How to ski!

Lesson 2: Ask for help when you need it, there's nothing wrong with asking for help.

Lesson 3: Stay safe and never force yourself to do anything that you're not sure of (especially if It's dangerous).
