I choose these three books, because I want to learn how and why music works. Honestly it's just killing two birds with one stone I get to read what I am passionate about and do an AP comp assignment.

Carrying on, an example of one of the book I choose, How Music Works, the opening chapters goes over some of the questions it will answer.
"Why does ten violins sound only twice as loud as one?", or, "what is harmony and how does it work." For me, I am very interested in the how portion so I can incorporate it for my music. That is why the Music instinct, and this is your brain on music is a also a good way to find the psychology for the attraction to music, and how to use certain sounds to really resonate with people.
