One being the Forever Garden, which is where two manic, experimental surgery obsessed twins live and create hybrids between animals and other things. This area is quite lush, but it's appearance is misleading. It reeks of rotten flesh. 

Zone Two is called The Change Range. This is where most surgeries take place.

Zone Three is called The Cryogenic Center, which is huge warehouse where deceased humans are (illegally) cryogenically frozen to preserve the organs and use them in future surgeries. 

Zone Four is the city of Chicago. This place was created mostly to confuse Tanya on her journey. It was a sad moment as they had always thought their parents died in a car crash, when in reality the surgeon made them fake their deaths for her own gain and she performed surgeries on both of them. Kade and Kelly had to grow up without a father or mother, fending for themselves. There's medical-specific terms here and there, but often they're explained. The possibly confusing part is that this story has so many twists and turns every second. The Surgeon is good at being deceptive and doesn't shy away from being a wildcard.
