I do think that there could be one person for you in your life to suit your needs I have been in many relationships (believe it or not) and sometimes it just doesn't work so there is that one person out there just for you.

It's like running a race that has different paths. Some will be easier, more convenient, or more beneficial, but they will all take you to the same finish line. 
As for love, there could not possibly be just one person you were supposed to fall in love with. You can love many different people, and date them, before you find the person you're going to marry. You don't just stop having feelings for your x's. Also, if people were made in pairs like that, there is no saying that you would ever meet your perfect partner. They could be living in Bangladesh, or Italy. Or, they could be going to your school, but you don't know who they are. They're a grade behind you, and you don't know their name. So no. There is fate, but the whole "My Soul Mate" thing is impossible. Soulmates are the one person that you will connect to, sure you could be happily married to someone, but would it be a love like no other? Probably not. Fate is just a name for the future. You know something will happen, you just aren't sure what. I love talking about soulmates though. That person you meet that will change your life forever. You don't know it, but you could have already met your soulmate. Maybe they are in this room. I don't know, that's just what I think.
