Silver is a strong chemical that is a good moisture and corrosion stopper. When the suit is done being made, the silver goes on the outside of the suit to make it water resistant. Pure silver can't be used by itself, so in order to use it in the suit, it has to be woven into bi-elastic hydrophobic material. Polyamide is mixed in with the nylon to create a hydrophobic material. Cotton requires a hot climate to grow. Once it is ready to harvest, workers have to go out and pick the cotton which is time consuming, then they have to process it either by hand or at a mill. Sheep can live almost anywhere. They are much easier to sheer as well as process. Since sheep live out in all the climates, they have adapted over time.
