  • Both of his parents were affiliated with the military: His dad was a captain at an army base in Little Rock. His mom’s brothers fought during the Civil War.
  • He started going to military school when he was 3 years old at West Texas Military Academy. 
  • MacArthur attended US Military Academy at West Point after high school and graduated from there with honors in 1903.

  • He has been posted all over including the Philippines, Japan, Mexico, and France.
