may be more meaning to be presented as actions because words can come off as insincere

culture may not play a part because we think it's more of the knowledge like whether process or person praise is better?

may also depend on what theory of intelligence the parent holds

maybe also differs in the quantity of praise given. asian parents tend to only praise for like exceptional achievements like e.g. getting first in class rather than for minor, everyday achievements like finishing a piece of tough homework
