Near transfer refers to new skills learned that are similar to the previous learning situation. Students can apply their knowledge to similar tasks given understanding and make it easier to master the lesson. In sports, athletes are able to improve their skills by utilizing familiar skills from related sports given that they have a better outcome. Far transfer is applying skills that have been learned to a completely different context that is not directly relates. Students are able to apply learned knowledge to different situations that allow them to critically think and problem solve skills.

Creativity is not something everyone can just learn, it comes as a characteristic for a person. Teachers can provide a learning environment for learners as it offers psychological safety. This is an environment where learners feel safe and secure where they experience risk-taking and have confidence in making mistakes that will not be judged.

A suggestion for learners is to learn how to program a computer as it helps promote problem-solving. If teachers used logos in their teaching, students could have a moderate effect on their knowledge of mathematics as they problem solve.
