The technology i feel like affected the outcome of WW2 is a aircraft carrier because they had bombs that could go anywhere in the ocean so them having that gave them a real big advantage over the others.

After Midway and the exhausting attrition of the Solomon Islands campaign, Japan's capacity to replace its losses in materiel (particularly aircraft carriers) and men (especially well-trained pilots and maintenance crewmen) rapidly became insufficient to cope with mounting casualties, while the United States' massive industrial and training capabilities made losses far easier to replace.

The battle of midway started with Japan trying to secure some territory in east asia and some islands in the pacific islands. The japanese then placed a target on the base at midway and the US new about it because they tapped into the communications of the japanese already so when the japanese came to attck they used 4 aircraft carriers and they "severely damaged the US base on Midwayo". After all of the damage has occured the US attacked the carriers that the japenese were using they were all named Hiryu,Akagi, Kaga, and Soryu. Only Akagi, Kaga, and Soryu were hit and sank once they got hit but the carrier Hiryu survived the attack and once the US noticed the carrier hasn't sank they sent down dive bombers to finish the job which they did and left Hiryu burning and no aircraft couldve left. in the ending of Midway the japanese lost approximately 3,057 men and the US only lost approximatley 365 men which meant the US kept their dominance against the japanese.

In this battle Guadalcanal it took place in August 7 1942 and ended in February 9 1943. This battle was meant for the US to "capture or neutralize the major Japanese base at Rabaul on New Britain". Also by having bases in Guadalcanal and Tulagi it would make their objective so much easier. The US while in Henderson the japenese were trying to retake it but the 2 carrier battles they had stopped the japanese from advancing and they stopped trying to retake Guadalcanal.
