Many of these people remained poor and unemployed until the early 1940s when WWII started. The South was hit the hardest during the Depression and became the poorest of the poor.<br><br>2- I remained pretty neutral during the entire reading, because since it's literally called the Great <em>Depression</em>, I wasn't surprised when things turned out terrible for the entire country.<br><br>1-How did just a few bad investments cause <em>everyone</em> to go broke?&nbsp;</div>]]></description>

Many men left home to look for work, and they didn't always return.<br><br>2 Reactions<br>First reaction, that this happened because people didn't spend their money wisely is just wow. Secondly, I'm sure that people definitely learned from this because it hasn't happened again.  But, if I'm correct, right after the election, the economy went down.<br><br>1 Question<br>Why wouldn't people  think about the fact that the economy go down, and instead, they depended on credit?</div>]]></description>
