loadshedding has an effect on all of us especially students . we experience the hardships of studying for an upcoming exam, preparing an online class or completing an given assignment and loadshedding happens .Sometimes we have to prepare ourselves but most of the times it happens unexpectedly .Although some feel that loadshedding is a way of creating productivity in students. Example -To get them not to work on due dates for completing assignments just in case loadshedding appears .

1. I feel that loadshedding is beneficial for both the government and us in our homes. When loadshedding is in progress, the pressure that the electricity system or power experiences decreases, and electricity in our homes takes longer to run out than when there isn't loadshedding in progress.

2. We can not really avoid loadshedding, I think the best we can do or our teachers or lectures can do is send students recorded lessons during loadshedding and discuss them on a social platform like whatsapp. And I think we can prepare or study for exams during the day just to be on the safe side.

1. definitely think that its beneficial, it allows us to sleep early and get off our cellphones. it helps us time manage cause we have todo our work before load shedding occurs ( know the times of load shedding). load shedding forces us to adapt, and adaptation helps us grow.

2. like I said before, know the schedule, manage your study time well. I have written exams under load shedding conditions its possible just requires a little more planning, I mean when has anyone gone wrong with a little more planning. preparation and planning is key, that's it!

1.From my point of view I'd like to strongly disagree that loadshedding can be beneficial at times. My reason for stating that is,because why loadshedding affects many people, for instance restaurants ,and stores that does not have "back-up generators".Secondly I'm personally referring to myself. As a current university student,I'd define loadshedding as "excruciatingly painful",and the reason for saying that is because, why it doesn't allow me to complete my assignments especially during the evenings.

2. Here's the thing,Loadshedding is very unpredictable. We cannot really prepare for, it as I've mentioned before that loadshedding is very, very, very, veryyyy unpredictable. From my point of view what I'd suggest is that we should always ensure that our electronic devices such,as our smartphones, and Laptops are powered up at all times. Especially our smartphones, and by doing so is by making use of powerbanks.

Well my fellow friends to be 100% honest i really think that loadshedding has a big effect on a whole bunch of things aside from us students who has online classes. Some people's lives gets twisted because of loadshedding, students misses some classes, miss some tests, some shops has to close when loadshedding strikes. It's like waiting for roadworks to let you pass when the light turns green when you're in a hurry for work knowing you could get in trouble eventhough you don't have control over it. Not that I've mentioned few negative things, but just as there's bad things , there are some good things to it to. What we need to keep in mind is that loadshedding is there for a GOOD reason and not for the reasons of " punishing" us people. So bare in minf that eventhough we see and experience the negative effects of loadshedding, it's not meant to effect us negatively even if it does.

Yes I would agree with you at some point loadshedding does create a form of unity amongst many households. Particularly mine, at home when I am with my cousins we always rejoice when it is loadshedding because after a busy day with people coming from school others from work and others being in their rooms the whole day when the lights suddenly switches off we then gather and play games it becomes very fun and exciting but to some households it might not be the same case.

2. Studying hard and going the extra mile is what we need to do in order to secure a possibility to pass loadshedding is reality and we can never run away from it so we need to stand up and push ourselves into achieving.

I totally disagree that loads heeding can ever be a benefit in advance. It literally stops you from using most things like devices that uses electricity. In my opinion load shedding has a huge impact on any individual who wants to be productive.

We can prepare for situations like load shedding to plan ahead. Getting all devices charged up in case of loadshedding. If an assignment is been deemed to be submitted on a particular day and one is in a situation where load shedding occurs regularly, try to submit it earlier and not on that exact day

1. I feel that loadshedding isnt a good thing because, it can cause that you cant do tasks that require internet ( if you dont have data).
2. Well an online class would be difficult as you cant buy data for everyone but in person it can be possible to teach without electricity.

The loadshedding is an enemy of millions of South- Africans, whilst many experience it everyday on places where there is no electricity- it is bad, as one need to consider it affects what you're doing everyday. It has its positive effects, however the negative is more than the positive and it is sad, to say it, that there is no future, just like there is no electricity. Government don't care, because as long as their officials sort themselves out the average South African is nothing...
