Hello there! I am a Research teacher for high school students at a local state college (soon to be a university) in my hometown, and let me share with you how I became a Research teacher.

It was mid-January of 2023 when I jokingly messaged a friend to ask if they were hiring. My friend joyfully and honestly answered me that they were hiring. I was like "Are you serious? Are you sure about that?" but she just answered me with a firm YES.

I then submitted my resume and other application forms to apply to the institution.

I patiently waited for the institution to message me with my application and without a doubt, I received a message from them that I'll be meeting them next week for the teaching demonstration and the interview.

Fast forward after the teaching demo and the group interview, I felt disappointed in myself because the other applicants already had a lot of experience when it came to classroom teaching, and they already had their Master's Degrees and here I am, a newcomer when it comes to the classroom setting since I've only been teaching online classes to Korean students.

I waited and waited for the institution to call me back, but I haven't received any news. I keep on manifesting, praying, and hoping that someday I will be part of that institution.

As time passed by, I almost lost hope that I'd ever be hired by the institution. My hopes are fading, and my dreams are crashing. It's like experiencing another heartbreak of not being hired for the work you always wanted to do.

It was so hard just waiting for unclear results. I felt that I would be disappointing my parents again but God truly listens to our prayers.

I was hired on the spot by the HR personnel after my interview with the college president (which was nerve-racking tbh). It was at that moment that I realized that all my worries were gone because another dream was finally happening.

You see, I became a Research teacher without expectations. I am where I am right now because I believe that God is always listening to us.

Now that I've shared my journey on how I became a research teacher, would you like to share your experience in which you felt that you were going to fail, or nothing was going on the way that you liked? Please comment on your experience in the comment box below. Thank you ♥
