To design a water bottle with samurai culture first using google sketch up and then use the 3D printer base on the sketch up model to build up the necessary shape and then add decorations with different material by using sticky glue. My primary research told me that PVC plastic is the easiest and the most convenient way to build up the base of a water bottle because they PVC don't allow water to go through, which makes the water to stay inside the water bottle longer. The secondary research told me that the aesthetics of wouldn't look good if the only uses one material. I will use the same method as the first similar product, which is the roman warrior's helmet. I will also use many different colors, but only around 3 to 4 colors, because otherwise, the product will look very complicated.

The water bottle is for people around the world who don't understand the Japanese culture, therefore by making this water bottle; people can be able to learn the Japanese culture from looking at the samurai in their everyday life because people must drink water every day. So that whenever they drink they use the samurai water bottle, Therefore the water bottle is needed to keep them drinking water, which also makes them get closer to the Japanese culture. My research told me that school put paper water bottles next to the water collected, the weakness for this is that it is a waste of paper and there is no design on the water bottle, which makes the water bottle simple and bad for the environment. But there are things that need to be careful, for example, the 3D model; you need to make sure that there are not any hole in the water bottles that water will not come out. Apart from that it also needs to make sure that the amount water that the water bottle can contain so that the water bottle won't contain too much or too less water to make people carry it differently. 

The difficulty forsakes the water bottle that the 3D printer takes a long time actually to finish printing one water bottle. Therefore this method might take longer than other ways. Another difficulty is to let people use the water bottle, instead of the paper, Therefore I will introduce the water bottle first to my friends and then attract more and more people. The materials are available from the design classroom, from the first two criteria can tell that the materials needed for the 3D printing and also the tools to fix the product, which gave a better understanding of the material available in the Material Design Classroom. My research told me that the cost of the material would be expensive because the material used for the 3D printer is PVC plastic, therefore, the amount of PVC plastic for the mass production, Therefore, there will be a high primary price to make a massive amount 

The success of the product will be a survey asking questions about the cultural aspect they can tell from the water bottle. Therefore, I can know what do they understand and is it the right understanding or not. So if people can say that the water bottle is Japanese samurai water bottle, the product is already 50% success, the next is to see that the story behind the Samurai culture, therefore, if the people who answer the survey can tell the story behind the samurai water bottle. That means that my product succeeds because the audience can understand the concept of the water bottle that I am making. My research told me that if water can always stay in the water bottle, it is also a kind of success because it means that the water bottle is functional, that water is not able to come out through the material. 

Sustainability

It must not have too much material like wood, because water can go through materials like water or paper, so that water will not sink into the material and stay inside.

It must be wear-resisting and durable, so that the next person can use it like the first person, and also to keep the life of the bottle longer. 
Therefore the third design is the best design that suit the specification.

Materials

It must be easy to form and rub, so that I can put the elements that I want for it and  also make the bottle feel smooth and show nicely.

It must be easy to gain from the SSIS design classroom so that I can spend more time on making and decorating of the bottle, not to find the material. For design one and two it is difficult to use material to finish the final product, because of the sharp edges and smooth sides, but for third design there material can be use to make the final product.

Safety

The materials that i used should not have other dangerous chemical, because the bottle is for users to drink water, therefore the water they drank will go into their body and affect their health.There should not be a sharp corner on the surface that people , so that people won’t get hurt when they hit or use the product. It should be safe when I cut the material or something else, so that I won’t get cut and unable to finish the product.

Ergonomics

It must suit the ergonomics of human hand, so that it is comfortable for people to use for drinking. third is the only design that fits the ergonomics.

The height form of the bottle must not be higher than 20 cm, because it is difficult for the audience to grad the bottle. 

It must be standing when no one is holding it, so that people can put it anywhere they want the bottle to be.

Functions

It must be able to carry at least 100g of water, which is the amount of water that people use to drink from a bottle.

Water must not come out of the bottle, so that the water can not go through the side of the bottle, because the users don't want the water to come out of the bottle, so that they can drink it for another time.

User Requirements

It should identify samurai from the bottle so that people can understand the purpose of this bottle and the culture behind the product.
