Borough residents could join the 'Green Borough Club' and existing groups like 'FoTRR',  and 'RR' etc would form special interest groups within the club. Members could receive a monthly/quarterly email bulletin advertising any greening events, offering (locally focused) environmental tips, a challenge task to complete (earning club points?) and information on one of the special interest groups (squads?) which they could opt to join. Anyone participating in a squad arranged activity or organising their own activity would become a member of 'Team GB'.

The playground area is dirty and broken .no seating areas for parents . Swings with no swings old unpainted equipment . Equipment missing just taken away and not replaced . The equipment is very old and dirty . There are tennis courts out of order , no nets and no caging . There was a bowling green over 30 years ago , but yet again boarded up unkept and unused . Basket ball courts with no nets . Zip wires with no zips . A derelict old green house at the beginning of the playground , with in my opinion could be a bandstand . There could be open air cinemas there as in Watford in the summer . 
This is such a shame it’s been neglected for so long . 
This could open up so many outside opportunities for young to old with an injection of funding .

The Network is a place to share ideas, so you can get help, make connections, ask for resources, promote what you’re doing etc, signpost them to other places that can help, like Every One Every Day But it’s not a place for ‘I have an idea, someone else makes it happen’. 

Connections into the council: Residents shouldn’t have to navigate the complexities of the council, and this is in part one of the aims of the Citizens’ Alliance Network. Sometimes this is signposting people to what exists- like how to get litter pickers and bags, or how to get a road closed for an event or take over a green space for a pocket park. Sometimes it will be about making new processes. Sometimes just connecting people in for questions. Sometimes it will be convening lots of people to solve some big problems that society is facing. This is where a Network will really start to help all of this.

Campaigning and or a forum for discussion: Council employees won’t be able to get involved in any campaigning aspects- and neither would you want us to.

There can be several steps before getting to campaign stage though, which we can be involved in- take the glyphosate example- a first step would be finding out what the current approach to the use of it- so network could get the info, or invite the relevant person, have a discussion. Second step perhaps discussing how it could be phased out, implications, benefits etc. At some point there would be a decision for the network.

Existing policies and strategies: These can be hard for residents to navigate. I think part of a Network is about adding to the pool of awareness around what exists already, what it means, so that in the future people can more meaningfully contribute, influence and set these (which is part of the Council’s stated aims). At the same time more and more ground is getting covered up with concrete or paving. What if we can talk with large flat roof structure owned by council and create banks of rainwater reservoirs to then irrigate greens that usually will become dull during dry spells, wouldn't that be lovely? 

Less rain will end up in swear system, and soil in LBBD will stay hydrated over the summer months.
