This was a really good lesson in history and how far having hope can take us. This was about the second African American player to join the MLB. It portrayed culture change in such a sweet way with the main character rooting for him the whole time.

This book is full of bright colors and beautiful illustrations that really encompass all that an adventure should be. It was a fun little story of a boy, a bear, and a day they spent together exploring the wild, and I really enjoy the way different characters were used to show that while you may look different than someone else, you can have a lot in common with them.
