My favorite thing about the novel was how real it was. Though most of the story is told from the point of view of Sarah, I could strongly feel the emotions of every other character with the help of her vivid descriptions.

The only thing I really disliked about the novel was the repetitiveness. At the start of the story, Sarah is obsessed with this idea of only having original thoughts or only doing original things, and she stresses this many, many times. She deems anything that isn't an original idea or thought a waste of time, and she doesn't hesitate to go on tangents about it.

I connect to this book personally because the way Sarah blocked out so many memories from her childhood reminded me of myself. There are good things that happened to me in my childhood that I don't remember because the bad things overshadowed them. Just like how there are bad things in my life that I don't remember because I've suppressed them.

I would and HAVE recommended this book to almost everyone I know. It's one of those books that I think everyone can relate to at least a little bit. Whether it's the parts about living in a broken home, or the parts about questioning your identity. On top of that, it was beautifully written, and it made me cry more times that I would like to admit.

SONG: Bed Space by Darwin Deez

I chose this song because it's about not knowing what to do or what to do with yourself after you lose someone you love, or after losing yourself which is what happens to Sarah. The chorus especially makes me think of Sarah, It goes:

"I don't know where I am
I am so lost
I'm just drifting around
Since you've been gone
I'm just wasting time away
I'm just wasting time in space"

I think the way the story slowly reveals things to you is the most interesting. You begin the book wondering so much about what happened to Sarah and why she is the way she is, and I feel like every page reveals something new to you.
