Iago has changed Othello’s character by changing him from the confident general he once was to a paranoid shell of his former self. He is in constant fear that his wife is cheating on him, and that drives him to be cruel, angry, and depressed. It also affected his relationship with Desdemona by basically completely dissolving it. He can no longer trust Desdemona, and nothing she says can regain that trust for her.

with all the lies that have been fed to othello by iago. iago has changed othello from being a nice respectful person to being a person full of jealously & some sort of hate in his heart. this has transferred to othello’s relationship with desdemona when he hit her & is calling her a whore over accusations that are false.

Iago has put Othello against Desdemona by manipulating his emotions through a continuous stream of lies. Initially, Iago lies began small, such as him suggesting that Cassio is a drunk man. By starting this way, he was able to wedge himself into Othello’s thoughts. Like the presentation stated, Iago was eventually able to suggest that Othello murder Desdemona. His ability to patiently manipulate Othello’s thoughts has effectively put Othello in a blinded rage, unable to be reasoned with.

Iago has put Othello against Desdemona by causing Othello to misinterpret her and other characters actions. Iago tells Othello that Desdemona is cheating on him with Cassio and he proves this by planting Desdemona’s handkerchief in Cassio’s room. All of this has changed Othello from being a kind man to an angry and bitter one. Since Othello believes that Desdemona has cheated on him he has resorted to calling her names and hitting her, these are all things that he would have never done otherwise.

Iago has turned Othello against Desdemona by telling him she is having an affair with Cassio.
This accusation made Othello extremely jealous and distrustful in Desdemona. He is now verbally abusive which is a stark contrast from the beginning where they were completely in love.

Iago has put Othello against Desdemona by his own scheme and manipulation where he makes it seem Desdemona is cheating on Othello with Cassio who is his close friend and lieutenant. He fuels Othello with despair and rage at the thought and makes it believable since Iago is known as “most honest”. Othello now seems angry and depressed, not like the upstanding proud general he once was. He also despised Desdemona, and plans to kill her as well.

Othello is susceptible to jealously but is that a character flaw? It seems that the author making a comment about jealousy: that even the most noble and seemingly incorruptible of humans can fall victim to this insidious trait. The very trait that has taken hold of Iago and caused him to hatch a horrific plan.

Iago has changed Othello's character in his relationship with Desdemona when he altered Othello's thinking by making it seem as if Desdemona isn't loyal and betrayed his trust. Because of this as the story continues, Othello makes decisions that are irrationally and driven by his heart.
