The Iron Giraffe Challenge

What it is: An annual fundraising event for schools to raise money for the organization Water for South Sudan.

Its goal: To raise funds to replace the old, worn-out drilling rig and to continue providing clean water through new wells, hygiene education, and sanitation services.

Its connection to the book: The challenge was created to inspire students who read the book and want to make a tangible difference.

The prize: Schools that participate and meet fundraising goals are entered into a drawing for prizes, such as a video call or visit from the author or the founder of Water for South Sudan, Salva Dut.
