This series was one of the first that made me realize that I liked reading fiction books. Every story was a new adventure where they went back in time to a certain time period. It made me more interested in reading but also in history (since at least some parts were true) and was one of the first things I remember really enjoying.

This was the first series that I ever got really into and read every book that came out. From a young age I loved fiction and any sort of book that was completely unrealistic and transported me to a completely different world when I read it. I always wanted to think things like that were possible when I was younger and whenever I read this series I felt like I was part of their world for a little too. It was extremely well written and had the most intriguing adventures in every book that made you never want to put it down.

This series was another where I read every book over and over again. Similar to the Lightning Thief, this story took a normal kid and made their life completely change into something magical. Whenever I read it, it felt like I was part of their world and I could never put the book down. The characters were so well developed that you got attached to them and saw them grow up through every book. The plot was also incredibly well written and made you want to read every book until the end.

I'm not sure what it was about this book but something stuck out that made me reread it over and over again. It had a completely unique plot that was unlike anything I'd ever read before. The characters were very easy to love and root for also. I think the main thing was how different it was than anything else I'd ever read, and how easy it was to read and get sucked into.

I usually don't really love books that we have to read for school, but I was surprised but how much I liked this. Again, it was a very different type of book than I'd ever read. The main character and the person who's eyes we were seeing everything through had an extremely dark perspective on life that I'd never seen in a book. Everything was through the lens of a kid who was sad and pathologically lied, so it was almost like you weren't even sure if what he was saying was true all of the time. It was unlike anything I'd ever read before it was intriguing and hard to put down.

This book was another one that began as an assignment but I actually really enjoyed reading. I thought the setting of the deep south in the 1900s and the multiple plot lines of the trial with the adults and the Boo Radley mystery with the kids made the book interesting and made there be constant action.

We read this book in class in middle school and it was one of the first mysteries that I'd ever read. I didn't think I would like it but I was surprised by how good it was and by how skillfully the author could incorporate little details and clues into the plot. I loved how at the end you were completely surprised since so many books have predictable endings.

This was another mystery book that captivated me in elementary/middle school. In the very beginning of the book they gave you all the characters and descriptions of each character and it was like 1000 different stories and details that you had to remember about each one as the mystery unfolded and all their lives got tangled.
