  • Attend an induction
    These can either be as a subject specific group organised and booked by your Pathway Leader or as an individual via negotiated access, these sessions will cover basic workshop practices including health and safety.

  • Speak to a technician
    Before using the space please speak to a technician so we can let you know what is possible in the time you have. You will need to show us drawings with dimensions so we can know what you want to make before you start.

  • Make a booking
    After speaking with the technician regarding access to the workshop you will need to book a time to work in the resource. This booking will be entered on the white board located on the inside of the casting resource on the left hand side.

  • Wear appropriate clothing
    The materials used within this facility can be messy so make sure that you wear suitable clothing before you start working. Aprons and disposable gloves are provided.

  • Work safety and clean up after working
    Do not bring chemicals or solvent based products into the area it is an eco-friendly workshop. You are responsible for making sure you keep yourself and those around you in the workshop safe. You will need to clean up and put tools back in place after working.
