         <description><![CDATA[<div>The military volunteers are essential for the operation of the military volunteers, a lot of armies including the U.S. army. Important volunteers and regulars who served on long-term basis. The important volunteers enlisted during a war and regulars who served on long-term basis. The rank of an officer in a volunteer  unit was separated from his rank as a regular, and usually higher. The volunteer  forces were disbanded at the end of the war.      </div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>World war 2, the first peacetime draft in our nations, history was enacted in response to increased world tension and the system was able to fill wartime manpower that needs to smoothly and rapidly after the attack on pearl harbor. In 1943 the selective service remained in a "Standby" they support the all volunteer forces in case an emergency. The selective service were forces officers would be called to active duty <br>to establish state headquarters and area offices at predetermined locations.<br><br></div>]]></description>

There were 350,000 American women that joined the military during world war 2. They worked as nurses, drove trucks, repaired airplanes, performed dermal work to free up men for combat.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>The top 3 military service and minorities were: African Americans, Hispanics, Homosexuals, African Americans have served in the military fighting it's enemies as well as racism and discrimination in their own armed forces. Blacks made up between 10 and 20% of the United states navy. In 1861, 2,500 Mexican Americans joined the confederates, white about 1,000 joined the union forces. By 1865 more than 10,000 Hispanics had fought in the war and two had won the mental of honer, the nations highest combat award. During world war 2 homosexuals were first categorized as a particular<br> groups of people unfit for the military service due to psychologists.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>After joining the industrial workforce during world war 2, women started to disappeared from industrial employment with postwar reconversion. Women were heavily recruited into industry during war (after Pearl harbor) and to more traditional jobs or to homemaker during and after late 1944 and 1945. Women had to help out the army and they did a lot of labor work. The female labor force that grew by 6.5 million.  In 1944, 37% of all adult women were employed.  In 1944, women comprised 35.4% of civilian labor force.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Civil supply functions were transferred to the office of production management. It's main purpose was price control. Some of these include processed foods, meant, coffee, oil and gas, sugar, nylon cars, tires and even shoes. The functions of the OPA were originally to control money (price controls) and rates after the outbreak of world war 2.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Every America was issued a series of ration books during the war. The ration books contained remarkable stamps good for certain rationed items like sugar, meat, cooking oil, and canned goods. A person could not buy a rationed item without giving the grocer the ration stamp. Also during world war 2 all sorts of essential and nonessential foods were rationed, as well as clothing, furniture and petrol. Just to make the British weak, the German tried to cut off suppliers of food and other goods.  German submarines attacked many of the ships that brought food to Britain.</div>]]></description>

The war bonds actually<br> were a loan to the government to help finance the war effort. War are debt securities issued by a government to finance military operations and other expenditure in times of war.</div>]]></description>
