         <title>Creating Passionate Readers Through Independent Reading</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>A pervasive long-standing belief among teachers and parents is that "the more you read, the better you read". Since many students either didn't want to read at home or didn't have books at home, schools started offering independent reading time in the classroom. Over the years, more and more requirements have been incorporated into arts courses and English language courses. Teachers can no longer spend their time on everything, so important decisions need to be made about what to include in everyday teaching. Some decisions are made at the district level and some are made at the teacher level.&nbsp;<br><br>Depending on a student's age and developmental level, decisions about "how" to spend their time need to be carefully considered. And the following requirements are: reading stamina, vocabulary and background knowledge, reading habits, and the teaching side of independient reading. Stamina is considered to implement different strategies in the interest of students, for example: Promote “book tastings” or “speed dating” to create lists of books to read. Organize a display of new book arrivals and reader, encourage student development of “book ladders." among others.&nbsp;<br><br>Providing time at school for independent reading becomes an equity issue when some students have access to a wide volume of books at home and other students have none.&nbsp; Independent reading is tricky. Setting aside time is just the first step for teachers.&nbsp;<br><br><br></div>]]></description>

We will also analyze the contribution of teachers, parents, and other authorities in teaching students to develop reading qualities such as learning to read fluently, recognizing words and their meanings without problems, developing analytical comprehension skills, etc. However, it will be considered according to the needs or&nbsp; developmental level of children and adults.<br><br></li></ul>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Reading can be literally defined as complex due to the ability to take out or construct meaning from the text. However, this definition alone doesn't provide much information. The most generally accepted way for researchers to interpret the above definition is to identify the key component skills and abilities that enable reading comprehension to emerge. The state of the acquisition process when reading in a second language (L2) is definite. It is imprecise how linguistic and sociocultural characteristics of second language learners influence the reading process.<br><br>A comparative analysis of the similarities and differences between two or more languages ​​is used as a starting point to explain the problem of L2 learning. However, the debate on the role of distraction in L2 reading is far from conclusive (see Harris, 1992). In many cases, L2 learning problems can be described as intralingual as they relate to specific interpretations of the target language.</div>]]></description>

However, there are strategies to improve it, such as reading aloud, reading carefully, underlining key words, reading while listening to the audiobook, among others.</li></ul><div>Key issues in L2 reading development</div><ul><li>In reading L1 and L2, they manage to confuse the reader's understanding. However, it does not impede to stop reading when the context is not understood. As reading becomes a habit, comprehension will improve.</li></ul><div>New ways in teaching reading&nbsp;</div><ul><li>One of the ways to make a reading activity work is for teachers to make it interactive and fun to promote face-to-face interaction among classmates.</li></ul><div>Students Metacognite awareness of reading strategies</div><ul><li>The metacognitive is one of the ways to develop reading skills in L2 students, so it is relevant to practice it.&nbsp;</li></ul><div>Teaching reading in a second language</div><ul><li>To improve in this aspect, we must read a lot in our second language, because it is the main basis for acquiring previous knowledge, new vocabulary, and improving grammar, etc.</li></ul><div>The proven principle teaching reading&nbsp;</div><ul><li>Acquiring the habit of reading at an early age will make us develop critical thinking. However, we must choose the book applied according to age.</li></ul><div>The impact of computer use</div><ul><li>In my opinion, when technology is used wisely, you can take advantage of reading books in digital format, when many of us don't have to buy physical books.</li></ul><div>Using books to foster resilience&nbsp;</div><ul><li>Literature always offers us the alternative to learn new things and to be able to heal, because there are books of any genre and for all ages, that is a great reason to promote resilience in our lives.</li></ul><div><br></div>]]></description>
