We all have somebody special in our lives that we look up to. Somebody who is always there for you, ready to help you when you need it most. For me, that person is my mother.

Ever since I was a little child I've always had enormous respect and admiration for my mother.

She brought me and my sister very well and she taught us important values in life, such as respecting others, behaving well at school and being considerate of others as well.

Another reason why I respect and admire my mother so much is that she is always concerned for our well-being. She phones us every week to see how everything is going, even to know the little things like if we are eating well or getting enough sleep. In that sense, she regards us as her little children and I guess that will never change, no matter how old we are.

It's fair to say that all of us love our mothers and I'm pretty sure most of us look up to them too.

Mothers are remarkable people and I suppose you could say that I look up to any mother who has brought up a child well, not just my own.

Pizza is an Italian food but now it is popular worldwide and it is liked by people of every age group. It is so versatile that it can be served on any occasion.

There is nothing more delicious than a warm box of pizza. Those healthy tomatoes, cheese, mushrooms, pepperoni and herbs make it even tastier. I can eat it any time the day as a snack or as a main meal.

Pizzas taste the best when they are crispy from sides and soft in the middle. It is my comfort food and no matter how sad I am, it always brings smile on my face.

Healthy life

Leading a healthy life entails many factors: the food we eat, the amount of exercise we get, our personal relationships, our physical well-being, our psychological well-being, how we deal with stress, and more. Besides these aspects, I think staying in balance is a good motto. Below, I will reflect on these parts of a healthy life in detail based on my personal experience.

In my experience, I need to exercise every day, at least a little bit. If I skip out on exercising, my knees will hurt from sitting most of the day, I feel more depressed than usual, and my self confidence will be less. It is good to combine aerobic and anaerobic exercises together in one day, though doing just one type of exercise each day is fine. Exercise seems to keep my blood flowing and my creative juices flowing.

Personal relationships can make or break us. They can lift us up, or keep us in a sour mood. In my case, I do my best to stay away from negative people and negativity in general. The energy of the people around you does in fact influence your energy.

Our physical well-being, on a holistic level, is important to maintain.

Extending from our physical well-being, our psychological state is always key to keep in balance.

My Hobby- Reading books

I’m passionate about reading. Although I have several hobbies, such as watching movies and fashion, reading books is what resonates well with me. There are many reasons why I love reading. The first reason is it gives me a level of fulfillment. That is, books rejuvenate me. After reading a book, I feel like a whole new being and my outlook in life changes.

The second reason is books make my mind sharp. It is a known fact that books improve our brain muscles. They make us think better and improve our decision making abilities. I find it funny that whenever I utter a clever quote from a book, everyone around me would be dumbfounded.

Furthermore, books are very wide and detailed. It seems like there is a book for anything you can think of. If you want religious books, there is the Bible, the Quran and other spiritual books. There are financial books, inspirational books, cooking books, business-related books, biographies, fictional and non-fictional- the list is endless. Reading is actually among the few hobbies that you learn while doing it.

Due to my widely acquired knowledge from books, I find it easy to jumpstart a conversation with a stranger. I realized that people are more responsive when you engage them in topics they are familiar with. This is where I have an upper hand over other people, because I’m quite knowledgeable in many sphere of life thanks to books.

While most people find reading an upheaval task, reading to me is like a calling. It just comes naturally to me. I have made it my culture to read at least a chapter before I hit the sack. Sometimes I read late into the night, especially during the weekends and I only stop when my head becomes too drowsy to continue. My reading culture is further heightened by my introversion.

Most of my ‘me-time’ is actually spent on reading. This is how I get my energy back. The outside can be too overwhelming for some of us. Whenever I feel like my energy has been milked dry by the outside world, I just take a few hours of reading to rekindle my spirits again.

The country I would like to visit

I have heard and read a lot about the beautiful countries in the world. However, the country I would like to visit is Great Britain. My choice is based on the following reasons.

Firstly, I have been interested in this country since school years as English was one of the subjects studied at school. The pictures of the old buildings in text-books have inspired me and visiting this country has become somewhat a dream for me. Most of all I'd like to visit London and its sights. Among them there are: Westminster Abbey, the Houses of Parliament, Buck ingham Palace, St Paul's Cathedral, LondonBridge, the Tower of London. London is situated on the river Thames.I would like to visit all the famous museums in London as well, especially British Museum. I could see many historical heritages gathering

from all over the world there.

Moreover, London has a good public transportation system, underground and double-deck bus. I could go any places via the convenient underground and do sightseeing by bus.

Another reason for my preference is that I would like to have deeper knowledge about the history and the culture of England and the English people because I really like this country. Besides, I would certainly visit the old Universities of Cambridge and Oxford. In conclusion, it might be said that though there are not luxurious beaches in London, anyway I would choose to visit it and it would be the accomplishment of my dream. Traveling in this big country would be really very interesting. I should therefore welcome any opportunity to visit this country.

The three best qualities in friendship

There are a lot of qualities that a good friend should have, but for me, the most important are loyalty, honesty, and respect. When we're born, we don't get to choose who our family is, we're just born with it, whereas with friends we do get to decide who we want in our life. That is why I think we should choose people that have these qualities and make us better people.
I think loyalty is a quality everyone wants in a friend, you want someone you can depend on and tell everything knowing that he or she won't say anything. A loyal friend will always be there for you no matter what and they got your back. The people that have this quality won't talk about you behind your back and they won't betray you. This quality is the one that makes friendships last.

Honesty is also essential because no one wants a friend that constantly lies and is not trustworthy. We want people in our lives that tell us when we're doing something wrong, friends with this quality won't sugarcoat things and we need to learn to accept it because they are doing it because they know what is best for us. I admire people with this quality because they are willing to be the "bad guy" if it's going to help you. Without honesty, a friendship would fall apart. Friends won't always agree with you, but they must respect your decisions, opinions, and ideas but more importantly they must respect you. You should know what you're worth and remember that everyone must respect you no matter what and if they don't, you should probably end that friendship. Friendship is a two-way street, your friends should respect you, but you should also respect them.

Respect goes deeper than just friendships, you also have to respect your parents, teachers, family, basically everyone. You could also have more respect for someone than for others and there is nothing wrong with it. For example, you might think that your parents deserve more respect than others. I think is the honest people who deserve more respect because it is kind of hard to respect a liar. That is another reason why I think honesty is important.

My passion with fashion

Anybody that knows me knows that my passion and goals in life have to deal with fashion. If I could be anything in this world I would love to be a designer of some sort or at least be in the industry. When it comes to clothing and style it just comes easy one of the easiest things I’m good at.

Fashion is an art form it allows you to express your view on style anyway you choose. And to me I feel like nobody has the right to judge that. Style hasn’t always come easy to be though just like everything else it takes time and practice it’s still a work in progress. When I look back to my middle school and early high school years I wonder deeply about my choices, middle school had to have been the worst. I was going through a colored jeans faze, I would wear bright yellow, honey mustard yellow, sky blue, purple, and pink. If somebody were to name a color I probably had jeans that color. It gets worse though because I would have the worst possible combination choice of shoes to go along with a matching bead necklace and bracelet set, followed by a grey or navy blue uniform shirt. It’s clear I had no idea what I was doing the best part is I was being myself and that’s all that matters. No matter how much I think my style has grown I’m only human and will look back and probably wonder why I wore the outfit I’m wearing sitting here writing this essay. When it comes to fashion its key to make it your own style, nobody is forced to shop off the manikin its just there to guide in some sort of direction to start the shopper off somewhere. No two people on this earth are the same therefore personality is key and your clothes flaunt that. The way one chooses to dress is how they want the world to see them.

"If you aren’t cheating you aren’t trying.” When it comes to style though in all honesty being you is the best choice of all. No matter how slamming those thousand dollar shoes are if you aren’t comfortable and true to one self then what are you doing. No two people are alike and creativity is key in this small place we call the world. I promise you’ll stick out more when you’re wearing what you are because the glow of confidence will radiate out like a leprechauns gold pot. My style isn’t always translated by others but it is respected for being unique.

The three most important mottos that I live my life by

A motto is a guiding principle to someone's life, or a short saying that they go by. I have three important mottos that I believe in.

One of the important mottos that I go by is

"Talk is cheap, until you hire a lawyer." This motto means that talking is pretty useless unless you can back up the things that you say; and until you can find someone that will do everything and talk for you (lawyer). You shouldn't "talk the talk" until you can start taking actions instead of just saying what you're going to do or want to do. Also, lawyers are very expensive to hire so once you hire a lawyer, or someone that will do everything for you, talk won't be cheap anymore, it will be expensive. I believe in this because if someone just keeps on saying that he is so tough or that he is the best, it doesn't necessarily mean that he can back up his words.

Another motto that I go by is "Seize the day". This motto means do what you can today, because you never know what is going to happen tomorrow. I go by this motto because for example, if you don't do your homework today thinking that tomorrow you will have time to finish it, you might receive a lot more additional homework tomorrow and you will not have enough time to complete them all. Also, this means to live your life the fullest every day, because tomorrow an accident might happen and you might lose your life and the fact that you didn't live your life to the fullest while it lasted, is saddening for you.

The third motto that I go by is "fall down seven times, rise up eight times." This means you should never give up because after every downfall, you can rise up again higher than you fell. I believe in this because if you stop trying after you fail once, you will never achieve what you really want.

In conclusion, those are the three most important mottos that I live my life by.

However, other people have many other mottos that they live their live by, so these three are not the only ones.

Young people prefer cities

There is much evidence that more and more youngsters have opted to stick to urban areas in the recent few decades. There are several grounds for such a tendency; however, it is generally believed that a wide range of job opportunities and a great variety of entertainment are among crucial factors. But what is the major reason for young generation to settle down in the urban areas?

To begin with, numerous companies and businesses presented in big cities serve as an enticement for young adults, who look to embark on a career in a dynamic working environment offering both professional development and competitive salaries. Not only do they seek for career prospects and financial reward, but also fast-paced fields with cutting-edge technologies and challenging tasks are valuable for young people. However, some lucrative position at first sight might as well turn out to be another heavy workload with endless red-tape and mundane tasks.

Conversely, a hectic social life is what anyone would never fail to discover in any big city with a broad array of attractions for locals and tourists. There is also a great choice of activities to everyone’s taste – one can have a full diary for every weekend as a party animal or a true culture vulture – something is sure to be cooked up for you to brighten your mood.

Unquestionably, local authorities should not underestimate the role of cultural events and put an emphasis on developing focal points to liven up rural areas which can potentially reverse the trend.

Why should you go to an Erasmus project?

Erasmus projects provide a unique opportunity for students to study, work, or volunteer in a foreign country. They are named after the famous scholar Erasmus of Rotterdam, who believed that people could learn more about the world by experiencing it firsthand. Erasmus projects offer a chance to explore a new culture, meet new people, learn a new language, and gain valuable experience that can help you in your future career. Here are a few reasons for going to an Erasmus project.

One of the main benefits of an Erasmus project is the opportunity to immerse yourself in a new culture. You'll be able to experience the customs, traditions, and way of life of a different country firsthand. This can be an eye-opening experience that broadens your perspective and helps you develop a better understanding of different people and cultures. You'll also have the chance to make friends from all over the world, creating a global network that can be beneficial in your personal and professional life.

Another significant benefit of participating in an Erasmus project is the opportunity to learn a new language. Living in a foreign country is an excellent way to improve your language skills, as you'll be surrounded by people who speak the local language. You'll have to communicate in the local language to navigate everyday life, which can be a challenge at first, but it will help you improve your language skills quickly. Being bilingual or multilingual is a valuable asset in today's global economy, and it can increase your chances of getting a job in your future career.

Participating in an Erasmus project can provide valuable experience that can help you in your future career. The skills and knowledge you gain during your project can be an excellent addition to your resume, making you more attractive to employers. Employers are always looking for candidates with international experience, language skills, and cultural awareness, which are all things you can gain through an Erasmus project. You'll also have the chance to network with people from different countries and industries, which can lead to job opportunities down the road.

Finally, participating in an Erasmus project can help you grow as a person. Living in a foreign country can be challenging, but it can also be a life-changing experience. You'll learn to be more independent, adapt to new situations, and solve problems on your own. You'll also develop a greater sense of self-awareness, as you'll be forced to confront your own cultural biases and assumptions. All of these experiences can help you become a more well-rounded and confident person.

In conclusion, an Erasmus project can be an incredibly rewarding experience that offers a range of benefits. Whether you're looking to improve your language skills, gain valuable work experience, or simply explore a new culture, an Erasmus project can help you achieve your goals. So, if you're considering participating in an Erasmus project, don't hesitate! It could be one of the most enriching experiences of your life.

What Harry Potter Series Taught Me?

Even though the books are about the world of wizards and magic, the Harry Potter series contains a lot of lessons for young people to learn. Firstly, it teaches us the importance of friendship. I have read many books but never come across a friendship like that of Harry, Hermoine, and Ron. These three musketeers stuck together throughout the books and never gave up. It taught me the value of a good friend.

Further, the series of Harry Potter taught me that no one is perfect. Everyone has good and evil inside them. We are the ones who choose what we wish to be. This helped me in making better choices and becoming a better human being. We see how the most flawed characters like Snape had goodness inside them. Similarly, how the nicest ones like Dumbledore had some bad traits. This changed my perspective towards people and made me more considerate.
Finally, these books gave me hope. They taught me the meaning of hope and how there is light at the end of the tunnel. It gave me the strength to cling on to hope in the most desperate times just like Harry did all his life. These are some of the most essential things I learned from Harry Potter.

In conclusion, while there were many movies made in the books. Nothing beats the essence and originality of the books. The details and inclusiveness of books cannot be replaced by any form of media. Therefore, the Goblet of Fire remains to be my favourite book.

Importance of Time Management for Students

Though adults are working, the students are not spared with work. The students today have many studies to do. Because of this, they are not getting time to enjoy their childhood. Time management for students has become a crucial need. Education has become vast. Therefore proper scheduling of time is important.

A good student knows the importance of studies. But he should also know time never comes back. Thus a student should take out time for personal development too. Since personal development is important for their proper growth. Moreover, personality development is also important for a student. They should at least take out one hour for sports. Sports teach student teamwork. Since it is enjoyable it lessens the stress of the day.

The daily routine is School or college, and then coaching. This leaves with no time of self-studies. Self-study is an important aspect of education. The student should not neglect this. As the day ends, they get too tired. Due to which there is no energy left. This degrades the performance of the student.

There is a difference between a topper and an average student. That difference is proper time management. A topper student schedules his time. While an average student does not do that. And because he never manages time, he gets no time for self-study. Which in turn leaves him behind.

Motivating children to do regular exercise

Today’s biggest challenge is in child education and parenting, how to motivate children to do regular exercise. Is your child also unwilling to use his excessive energy? I am happy to share with you two very good ways: school and parental example.

First of all, recent studies have shown that schools play an essential role in stimulating children’s motivation to do exercises. There are certain schools specialised in sports that are without any doubt very effective to support your children’s interest and motivation in any sport. Further, a surprising fact, almost every regular school is associated with a (or has its own) sport club offering a wide choice of sport activities.

The other way is your personal (parental) example. Children have a lot of energy and they need to build it up in order to reduce the daily stress and process emotions. It might not be astonishing for you that they are learning by copying their parents. So, the more time you spend with your kid(s) being active, the more likely they’ll be motivated in doing exercises. In addition, don’t be afraid to let them try out every sport they show interest for!

Taking these ways into consideration, I believe that in first instance parental behavior would help more to encourage children towards active lifestyle. In lack of this, the schools are just the second best option, but they complete each other very well.

Balanced Diet

People eat junk foods and other unhealthy food items only for taste. They don’t even have time to nourish their bodies with the required diet. A healthy and balanced diet reduces stress and promotes healthy life without suffering. Thus, it stands out of utmost importance to individuals to examine the significance of a healthy body.

A diet that contains all kinds of necessary ingredients in almost the required quantity is called the “Balanced Diet”. A Balanced diet is one that helps to maintain or improve overall health. We should consume a balanced diet consisting of essential nutrition: liquids, adequate proteins, essential fatty acids, vitamins, minerals, and calories. We must eat fresh fruits, salad, green leafy vegetables, milk, egg, yoghurt, etc. on time in order to maintain a healthy body.

Among the minerals, we require chiefly iron, calcium, sodium, potassium, and small quantities of iodine, copper, etc. They are found in green vegetables and most fruits, Vitamins have a number of kinds like A, B, C, D, etc. Vitamin A is found in fish oil, butter, carrot, papaya, etc., and Vitamin B is found in green leafy vegetables, wheat grain, etc. Vitamin C is found in green chilli, green vegetables, amla, lemon, and citric fruits. Vitamin D is found in the first oil, butter, and rays of the sun. We also need Vitamins E and K for our health. Milk is perhaps the only single item that can be called a balanced diet in itself.

Animal protein is found in meats, poultry, and fish. The white of an egg also contains protein. Another kind of protein is found in milk (casein), cheese, curd, pulses, soybean, dry fruits, etc. Fat is found in butter, pork, coconut, all edible oils, cod liver oil, the yolk of an egg, etc.
We should eat only fresh, well-washed and well-cooked food articles which are free from dust and flies. Fried foods and foods containing excess fat, spices, and chillis are harmful. Roadside eating should be avoided. We should take the last meal two or three hours before going to bed. There should be a good time gap between two meals so that the food gets digested in our stomachs.

A healthy body also needs some daily physical activities, proper rest and sleep neatness, a healthy environment, fresh air, and water, personal hygiene, etc. Also, we should drink more water at least 7-8 glasses of water. It balances blood pressure and supplies vital nutrients exceptionally quickly to the body. A fit and healthy individual turns out to be more resistant to infections and diseases.

Wealth matters, but, is not as important as health. Spending lots of money on junk food in five-star hotels or on other entertainment sources like watching films for a day and so on has no advantages other than self-satisfaction. Being physically and mentally healthy helps an individual to be socially and financially healthy as well.

Co Education

Co-education is a system of education in which boys and girls study together in a common school or college. Co-education was not prevalent in ancient times. It is a groundbreaking thought. The parents supported the case for adequate education for the children irrespective of their sex. The countrymen realized that the boys and girls have to move together and shoulder to shoulder in every walk of life in the free world. They started educating their children in co-educational institutions.

Co-education has various advantages. It is useful in producing a sensation of solidarity and a feeling of equivalent obligation among boys and girls. When young boys and girls come closer to each other, they take more care in understanding each other. That helps in creating a friendly atmosphere between the two. The boys and the girls partake in their joint exercises consistently in schools and universities.

Co-education assists in carrying out a change in society according to the need of modern times. Young boys and girls get the opportunity to blend in with one another frankly and conveniently. They act together on different events and occasions in society. They demonstrate examples of cooperation before individuals, which inspires and produces a healthy spirit of working among the masses.

Co-education produces good citizens who have sufficient quality and development in them. That is a direct result of acquiring various experiences of good and terrible nature during their student life in coeducational institutions. This sort of value in an individual separates him respectably during his further course of life. Such citizens are mostly successful in their work because of their characteristic potentiality and maturity.

Ours is a male-overwhelmed society. There is a sensation of mediocrity among women. There is a need to educate the public opinion that the rights of women and men are equal and that they have an equal role to play in society. Their aim and interest are one, and both the men and the women possess the equal ability to act. The aim should be to remove the feeling of an inferiority complex and bring oneness between the two. That will generate confidence in the female community and will give great working strength to the country.

Co-education is the only answer to this issue. When the boys and the girls live and study together for a long time, the disparity of gender goes off and the feeling of equality is seen apparently among them. By prudence of this improvement, both the young boys and the young girls speed up their working with their equivalent and joint endeavours during their life and accomplish their objectives all the more without any problem.

In a democratic country, women are similarly valuable and can work side by side with men. We can not disregard the significance of women in the current circumstances. As a matter of fact, we need to give equal responsibility to women for taking our country ahead smoothly and making its dream of becoming a world power come true.

Next to Love, Sympathy is the Most Divine Passion

The word ‘Sympathy’ is derived from the Greek prefix ‘syn’ or ‘sym’ which means together or joint and the root word ‘pathy’ which means to feel. Therefore, sympathy means to have a fellow feeling towards another living thing. It is characterized by the ability to understand the suffering of others and feel sorry for their plight. It is a trait that makes us distinctly human. It

sets man apart from the beast; the civilized apart from the uncivilized; and the kind apart from the cruel.

The feeling of sympathy has a role to play in human society. It facilitates bonding between human beings and makes the burden of suffering lighter. Sympathy makes us extend a helping hand to someone in need and fosters a feeling of fellowship. Often the kind words of a stranger, a reassuring embrace of a friend and the patient ears of a dear one take the sting away from our pain.

Sympathy also ensures harmony in society. Apart from the role it plays in abating somebody‘s pain, sympathy also acts as a deterrent against crimes. It prevents us from wrongdoing through the voice of our conscience. Lack of sympathy is the foremost trait of a criminal.

The ability to shed a tear for someone is seen as a sign of weakness by a shallow society. But the perpetrators of this belief often forget that the strongest of individuals sometimes yearn for sympathy. Only hearts as cold as a stone would be devoid of this beautiful emotion since sympathy is a celebration of everything that makes us human.

Keep Your Friends Close and Your Enemies Closer

The proverb in its literal sense may seem counterintuitive. Why in the world would anybody want to keep their enemies closer than they keep their friends? The answer to this can be sought in the figurative implications of the proverb. The quote ‘Keep your friends close and your enemies closer is sometimes attributed to Nicolo Machiavelli, Sun Tzu, and even to Don Corleone, the protagonist of the novel "The Godfather".

In the heart of the proverb lies the message that one can learn more from enemies than one does from friends. There are many reasons why this proverb holds water.

First, you can learn a lot from someone whom you despise. The best wisdom does not necessarily come from being with friends. A friend is someone who is agreeable and who does not become an obstacle or a threat to your ambitions. Chances are that you and your friend share a similar worldview. He or she is an extension of your own self.

An enemy, on the contrary, is someone who you don’t trust and who is aiming for the same things as you are. They are your opposites. Their ideas, beliefs, and worldviews may be in stark contrast with your own. By observing them, you can get a fresh perspective on a situation that you may not receive from your friends.

To outwit your enemies, you should pay close attention to their moves. This can help you stay ahead of them all the time. Keeping them at close quarters helps you in determining their motives. This helps you in anticipating all their moves.

Your enemy may have a lot of weaknesses that he does not like to bring to the fore. On the outside, he may seem like a formidable foe, but on the inside, he may be hiding some flaws which he does not wish to show the world. Knowing your enemy‘s weakness is the biggest instrument in anybody’s arsenal.

Sometimes, unexpectedly, you may find that your enemy may not be the ‘scheming’ and ‘evil’ villain you have imagined him to be. You may be surprised to find that he shares some of your values as well. An enemy may cease to be an enemy and you may learn to empathize with him/her. Hence, to be successful, you should be able to exploit your friendships and gain wisdom by observing your enemies.

Who Are We?

I have always thought about the nature of my existence. What am I? What is my identity? Made of flesh, blood, and a complex system of internal organs, is my body my identity? My countenance expresses my various moods and emotions, is my face my identity? Are my thoughts that make me who I am? We are much more than what we perceive ourselves to be. We need to move beyond the obvious to ponder upon the truth of our existence. Ask yourself, ‘Who am I?’

The Upanishads state, ‘Aham Bhrahmasmi’, meaning ‘I am Brahman’. The term Brahman here does not refer to the caste; it refers to the ultimate truth that underlies all the phenomena in the universe. According to the Vedas, the real self is not the body or the mind. Beyond the realms of the body and the mind is the soul. The soul represents our consciousness;

consciousness is nothing but the awareness of the self by the self. It does not arise out of our material interactions.

Physically, we are composed of various elements—oxygen, carbon, hydrogen, nitrogen, calcium, etc. These elements constitute our bodies. If so, we are our bodies. What role does consciousness play in our identity?

Consciousness is a difficult term to define or understand. It cannot be explained with the help of numbers or explained with words. We identify ourselves with materials because they pleasure our physical selves. We form attachments for our need to be loved. We form ties that we cannot break free from. This further wedges a gap between us and our consciousness and we lose ourselves in the maze of worldliness.

We should never get distracted from our quest to uncover mysteries about ourselves. Only then will we realize our purpose in the vast system of planets, stars, life, and galaxies.
