Rabin was still alive. We saw people and crying and screaming. It was a shock. the look on people's faces showed total disbelief. I will never forget the announcement of Eitan Habet from Ichilov's hospital on Rabin's death. Most of the people were crying everywhere. We couldn't believe that it's true. In the following days, thousands of people and a lot of youth were coming to the square where it happened and lit candles and sang sad songs. There was an atmosphere of grief and sadness. You have to understand that before the murder there was hope for peace, at least amongst the left supporters and others. It killed all the hopes for peace and caused a breakup among the people of Isreal.
