One - give more time for teachers to internalise the programs, thinking behind it before planning for school and class.

Two - HQ must be more forceful to schools that this extra time is not for more tests, more work which defeats the purpose. For example - MYE is removed but replaced with 2 other “WAs” which are paper 2 and compo which increase workload for subject teachers.

Revert the AL scoring. It is actually more stressful for both students and parents than the past scoring system. Students often find that their effort do not equate to improvement because of the huge range to jump to another grade especially for the middle range. For the better students, a few marks will easily mean a huge drop from AL1 to AL4.

AL grading is getting parents to chase after the last mark more than ever because they want their child to get to their ideal school in mind. Last time, A the students only need 75 marks but with AL, they get AL4 with 75 marks which is no longer acceptable as there are very limited options for the students to be G3 of the ideal schools they want to be in.

Schools can be given time for trs across different subject disciplines to cross fertilize ideas that can be carried out in schools for Students to display/ learn E21CC skills. The task assigned should not be one subject specific and can include different concepts/ learning outcomes from different subjects. Task should be authentic enough for students to problem solve.

Assessment is not evil if the final result/feedback is for personal growth. However, it seems evil in school setting because it is a deciding factor for placing the child in the next phase of schooling (which can be a big deal for parents).
