         <description><![CDATA[<p>My best lesson was actually not very fancy. It involved using a series of QR  codes to go to various sites, and learn about the pros and cons of Affirmative Action. At the end of the lesson I had students write and discuss how Affirmative Action and the Theme of "Harrison Bergeron" by Kurt Vonnegut are related.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Students used the iPads for part of their semester exam. I was able to integrate Desmos (graphing), problem solving, and writing. The attachment shows a student response to one of the test items, in which they watched a video of their History teacher solving a math problem and identified a few of the errors made. </p>]]></description>

Each student researched, found visuals, and wrote an article for the class web magazine relating to the Second Industrial  Revolution.  After student wrote their article they read the rest of the students articles.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Students used a board I created in Discovery Ed on Imperialism in Africa.  They watched  a video clip, analyzed a photo and read a map.  This gave them background information on imperialism.  Next students were given a specific country in Africa that they had to research the lasting effects of imperialism on their country.  Then they selected the app that they felt they could show their information the best.  </p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>We begin looking at Quadrilaterals by identifying the different ones.  They then take the iPads and walk around the LHS campus taking pictures of the different quadrilaterals.  They then share their pictures. We then use those pictures to start to identify the properties of the quadrilaterals.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>As a performance assessment for the Pythagorean Theorem, I had my students each create a stop motion video with a partner describing what the Pythagorean theorem is, and how they could use it in real life.  I used a rubric to score each video, and then had the students review at least 3 other videos.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>With my 7th grade Language! Class we used QR codes to complete biography cubes about leaders in the civil rights movement. This was an activity we did after reading The Watson's Go To Birmingham 1963. I forgot to get pictures of the final project<span style="font-size: 13px; -webkit-text-size-adjust: 100%;"> but this is a picture of students participating in drops using the iPads for their research. </span></p><p>I have just started using Google classroom in my keyboarding class and I love it!!! Day 1 was a  crazy day but it will make the class so much better!!!!</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I have been using Discovery Ed with great success. Students receive writing prompts, assignments, checks for understanding within the site. They can conduct research using documents, video, audio... They can submit assignments through Discovery Ed as well. It's a really useful all-in-one site.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>I've had success with students using Picollage to restate their learning from the textbook. I partner them and have one student tell the other what to type (driver/navigator) and then they both choose pictures one their written work is completed. They then have to share their picture with the class and teach the others about the portion they worked on.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>In forensics class, my students have been utilizing picture taking in the laboratory setting. The picture shown is a pic collage which was created to show hair analysis.  The student took pictures by holding the iPad to the eyepiece one the microscope.  They then created a pic collage which was uploaded to the Google doc. This final was electronically submitted through Google Drive/docs</p>]]></description>
