A man that works for the LAPD has been working with them ever since 1993. He is the supervisor for the 77th divison in L.A, which has had the most highest rates of murder. 
He works a 9/17 shift, has the weekends off, but is always in call. He usually starts his day at 6 or 7 in the morning depending on the traffic. He then meets with the squad and talk about current cases or help them with the case. 
The murders in the 77th division usually evolve around street gangs. 
There are approximately 250 unsolved cases in his area.

They catch criminals all shapes and sizes. They are also paid to protect things, like homes, apartments, etc. You have to be careful at all times on the job.
