Each of these has an online training link. Within each sections there is a range of videos and interactive resources which lead to you having to answer several questions based on the information that has just been presented. All new staff are required to complete this and existing staff must be up to date with new units. Everyone who comes into contact with children and young people through the organisation receive essential checks and training which is underpinned by the Department for Education statutory guidance ‘Keeping Children Safe in Education’ (September 2016).

The College strives to embed a culture whereby all college users have a clear understanding regarding abuse and neglect in all forms; including how to identify, respond and report to the safeguarding team where the information will be dealt with following the correct procedures, and with the safety and wellbeing of the students in mind at all times.
