Within each sections there is a range of videos and interactive resources which lead to you having to answer several questions based on the information that has just been presented. All new staff are required to complete this and existing staff must be up to date with new units. This is to ensure staff are aware of potential situations in which they may be required to take action to keep learners safe or help if needed.

Here at Leeds City College we are committed to doing everything we can to make sure all of our students and staff are kept safe and protected from harm. This is what safeguarding is all about. The government provides statutory guidance to colleges on what they need to do to achieve this. We adhere to all guidance and pride ourselves on going above and beyond to make college a safe, happy and thriving environment for all. It is important to us that all college users are treated with respect and dignity and feel safe and listened to. In our last OFSTED inspection safeguarding in the college was judged to be ‘effective’ by the inspection team.
