Res Gestae in Latin. Find 5 "I" statements made by Augustus. Write the Latin and give your literal translation of each statement.
1. In the year I was 19 I established (comparavi) and oversaw a council and private army at my own expense,
2. with which I demanded (vindicavi) that the business of the state was away from tyranny in factions as it pressed against freedom/liberty.
