The first week of this course was challenging for me since I had a lot to complete for the orientation forum.  We had to provide a short biography of ourselves in the “Meet your tutor exchange” forum and I was very anxious to meet my new colleagues and teacher for the very first time.  

We were then given a VARK questionnaire to complete, in which I was startled at the final results based on my learning preferences.  I was definitely not aware that my second learning preference type is a visual learner.  I learnt quite a bit about my intake and output areas in relation to me performing to the best of my abilities.  MGMT 2063 also required that we do a padlet for reflective purposes, which I was completely new to this form of medium since non of my previous existing course didn’t required such.   

 I am indeed grateful for the constant reminders that were given by both e-tutor and course coordinator Ms. Leu and Ms. Mohammed to visit the class room and announcement forum, as well as the course guide for acquaintance with the requirements of this course.  This made my organization for this course a bit lighter and gave me insight for upcoming activities.

Some of my expectations for this course are to respect all my e-tutor and colleague alike.  Try at all times to participate in the discussion forums and submit every assignment on time.  It is also in my interest not to procrastinate on the course work that is assigned to me.  This can be done by forming a study timetable schedule that will better assist me in this regard.

The orientation was of great importance to me as it prepared me for the task ahead.  It was a good initiative to have completed the activities that were required for orientation day as it gave me a good start for this course.
