Currently, I'm not working on a specific project but in my role as an ICT Focal Person, I am focused on the full implementation of iHomis Plus in our government hospital. In support for the LHIE initiative, cause I can see how FHIR will help connect systems across facilities in the future.

I'm not working on any project for now but there is a project that I know which is the iHomis Plus that focuses on the interoperability and securely shares the patient data across different department in a healthcare facility which lessen paper-based records and also provides real time update.

I think the future of the FHIR lies into becoming the standard for healthcare data exchange. It will be followed not just locally but also internationally.

Philippines is still a developing country and FHIR could be implemented through national standardization in which will be led by the Department in charge of the Healthcare. Every healthcare facility will integrate their systems allowing real time update wherever the patient goes.

I am from the private sector and am working on several government projects.

I believe utilizing an interoperability system will enable us to provide better healthcare for everyone in the future so we should start building this IT infrastructure as soon as we can.
