Eleanor Roosevelt was born on October 11th 1884 in New York City. She was a feminist who fought for equal rights and civil rights movement. She had a rough childhood, she lost both her parents and her little brother. Eleanors husband was the 32nd President of the U.S. She is mostly know for being the First Lady for 12 years. In fact before she became First Lady she had a lot of anxiety of what it would mean for her to become first lady. The reason for her being First Lady for such a long time was because at the time the president, her husband, Franklin Delano Roosevelt, was guiding the U.S through World War 2 and the Great Depression. She was a very inspiring, strong, kind women. She died at the age of 78 on November 7th, 1962. People such as John F Kennedy and his wife attended the funeral and the future First Lady. Fun fact. She knew how to write in French, German , Italian, and Spanish.
