Especially if we had it happen during reading  time. I had my students write a children's book and, to prepare them, I read a couple of children's books to them. They loved it (juniors and seniors) and kept asking me to read more. They loved hearing the books that others wrote. There is something nurturing and calming to them about being read to I think. Let's them get caught up in the story and encourages reading naturally. Don't know if they would even need a copy of the book if you did this.
Maybe try 1 book and take a survey?
