I believe that we can be globally responsible consumers and i believe this because we are all able to find out whether the

products that we are using and buying are right for human ethics and that it isint made by a exploited worker in cramped conditions.

We can go to websites like www.goodguide.com which is a website for mainly american products and it can show you the safety, health,

green and ethical rating of the products. With the help of these types of websites we can make sure that the products we buy are

made properly without people being abused and that the environment wasn't harmed in the process.

Activists around the world and through the times have always sought to rid the world of the impurities and usually do without

the need for violence, activist usually go up against big corporations who threaten the environment or the people on it just for

some money. In short, activists are an important part to the workers of the sweatshops as they are the ones that are trying to

get their conditions to improve more than the standard requirements.

Organisations to the rescue

NGO's or Non Government Organisations are people who go around to factories where the items are made and it is their job to make

sure that the workers are working in fair conditions in a fair working space and are not being exploited.

An example of a group of NGO's would be "Green America" they are an american group that is trying to put an end to worker exploitation

or end sweatshops once and for all.

Another group would be "Clean Clothes Campaign" they are a European group that is doing the same thing as Green America by trying

to put an end to worker exploitation or end sweatshop factories once and for all.

Environmental impacts

The environmental impacts of globalisation are quite bad in that when a factory is built it is usually in an area that if built

on it would destroy or impact the environment around it, and when you take down a factory it is leaving behind a space in the

ground that is empty and usually doesn't get filled.

Globalisation has its positives

The positives of globalisation are that the products are cheaper for the consumer to buy as they are made in bulk.

Since the factories are mainly in 3rd world countries it gives the unfortunate people there a job which can help

them provide food for there families and gather money.

Globalisation also lets people have a larger range of items to choose from as the items are from all around the world

with their cultures and ways

Globalisation has its negatives

Yes globalisation has some negatives and these are that if you are a small business and are

trying to succed and expand in the business world, it is going to be alot harder now that

the big businesses are all involved in globalisation.

The workers are being exploited to make them work faster and produce more items.

Globalisation is a part of our daily lives from the clothes we wear to the cars that we drive,

they are all made and involved with globalisation, the clothes may be made in Mexico and the car parts in

India, they are all made world wide and are sold by the retailer.
