- Make the kids do everything.
- Have kids do things together.
- Dry erase markers and whiteboards.

Story:
- Exit tickets had the most impact on her. Was most helpful to see where kids were at and what they need.

Greatest advice to a new teacher:
- Relationships!!! Giving nicknames can be something to have a connection, greetings, get to know families and reach out. Have a little something with each of them to bring you a little closer.
- You can never do too much procedure. You can't practice it or re-practice it enough. It can make students feel more secure if they know what is expected of them. You don't have to run a tight ship, you just have to run an orderly ship.

Why Teach?
-  Those smiles.
- The kids saying and writing you at the end of the year saying thank you for teaching them something they never would have thought of.
- Knowing they need people.
- They are the future of America.
- When you see they are excited to come to school, it is the satisfying thing.

- You don't have to love everybody on your staff, but you have to love something about everybody on your staff.

- The morning meeting book. Written for educators, gives you things to do with kids.
- Despite the best intentions.

- Making an impact. 
- Knowing you played a little part when they go on to do great things.

- Need teachers who are going to support the kids.
