benefits of performing hajj and umrah:

- motivate believer to save up and try their best to perform hajj because there are great words saved for those who perform hajj and umrah

- it is only because it is a mandatory, but they believe the rewards they get from Allah SWT and their ability to do so

- prophet Muhammad saw has said that performing hajj and umrah overcome and removed sins exactly as fire remove and separate germ from iron, gold, and silver.

- prophet Muhammad saw also has stated that performing umrah after another umrah are sure to gain forgiveness for any sins were committed in between the period of time and the earlier world for the accepted hajj is Jannah the paradise.

- if people who have done hajj and umrah changing for the better afterwards, it is a great sign that the hajj and umrah is accepted

- one who perform hajj and umrah and does not approach his wife sexually, does not commit sins or speak obscene language and control his anger during his journey, and once he’s done he would go back to the same day he was born, being sinless.

1)      Why do we need to perform umrah and hajj 

When we perform umrah and hajj, there are great words saved for those who perform it. Prophet Muhammad SAW once said we can overcome poverty and remove sins completely if we perform umrah. He also mentioned that that if we perform umrah more than once, all of our sins will be forgiven no matter what sins we committed. It is important to do umrah and hajj as we need to always remember Allah in all stages of our life. Performing umrah and hajj is also important to seek forgiveness from Allah as all the sins of a believer whose Hajj have been accepted is wiped clean entirely. And if our hajj is accepted by Allah, we can surely guarantee our place in the highest of heavens as it is the ultimate reward. 

2)      Forbidden actions during ihram 

Crossing miqat without assuming ihram, removing hair or cut nails, using perfume after entering ihraam, covering our head, wear clothes which has stiches, having intimate relationship or intercourse, proposing or concluding a marriage contract, and lastly harming or hunting or killing animals. A prohibition which applies exclusively to men is wearing shirts, hooded robes, trousers, turbans and leather slippers while one of the prohibitions of ihraam that applies only to women is niqaab refers to a veil that covers the face and leaves the eyes uncovered 

WHY WE NEED TO PERFORM HAJJ AND UMRAH? IS IT IMPORTANT?

Yes, it is important to us as a Muslim because hajj is a pillar of Islam that all Muslims must do at least once in their lives. It is a physically hard pilgrimage that Muslims believe allows them to cleanse themselves of past misdeeds and begin anew in their relationship with God. Muslims benefit from the Hajj season because it brings them together and allows them to learn from one another. Muslims from all over the world gather at the Hajj to express their affection for one another and get to know one another without any barriers or constraints. It is a practice intended to strengthen Islamic brotherhood and sisterhood by demonstrating that everyone is equal in Allah's eyes. By removing all signs of social standing, riches, and pride, the Hajj helps Muslims understand the true value of life on Earth and in the afterlife. In the Hajj, everyone is treated equally. The Hajjis, or pilgrims, dress in Ihram, which is a plain white garment.

1.Why do we need to perform Hajj & Umrah? Is Hajj & Umrah important to us?

Hajj and Umrah are important for us because it is a pillar of Islam and required for every Muslim once in a lifetime. Hajj is a journey that we as Muslims believe offers a chance for us to clean past sins and start anew. By performing Hajj and umrah, we can overcome poverty and remove sins. From the hadith narrated by Abu Hurairah, the Prophet s.a.w. said that people that perform one umrah after another umrah, their sins will be forgiven in between. Next, one who performs Hajj and does not approach his wife sexually does not commit sins or speak obscene language, and control his anger during this journey, once done he will go back to the same day he was born (sinless). Knowing the benefits of Hajj and umrah will motivate every believer to save up and try their utmost to perform Hajj because there are great words saved for those who perform Hajj and Umrah. 

2.What are forbidden actions during ihram?

There are many forbidden actions during ihram such as it is impermissible to remove any hair of the body or cut the nails and do not perfume the body or garments of ihram. For men, it is forbidden for them to cover the head, wear something stitched according to the size of the body organ and propose to women. Other than that, having an intimate relationship and concluding a marriage contract is also prohibited to do so during ihram. Lastly, do not harm or kill the animals. 

 

 

Hajj and umrah is a mandatory activities for Muslim as it has been in the 5 pillar of Islam.

Allah will not give a command to his creatures without reasons and benefits to them.

Besides fulfilling the pillar of Islam, hajj and umrah is one of the ways for Muslims to show how grateful we are for everything that have been received from Allah.

Plus, by performing hajj and umrah, we can gain forgiveness from Allah for every single sin that have been done in our life. Regardless the level of our sins, Allah will always loves His servant for remembering Him and seek for His forgiveness.

2. FORBIDDEN ACTION DURING IHRAM

 

In order to be a better person and free from previous sins, Muslims need to make sure that the hajj and umrah that they performed will be mabrur or accepted. Once their hajj and umrah has been accepted, they will feel the effects on their new journey of life. 

 

There some details and important information that need to be take note by the pilgrims during ihram.

They are not allowed to:

- Cover head (Men)

- Wear something stitched (Men)

- Propose to a woman (Men)

- Remove any hair of the body

- Cut nails

- Wearing perfume on body or garments of ihram

- Having an intimate relationship

- Concluding a marriage contract

- Harm or kill the animals

Every Muslims who performing hajj and umrah need to prevent themselves from doing any of these forbidden actions. Then, they will be received hajj or umrah mabrur if God wills.

The needs of each Muslims to perform hajj and umrah is important because it is a compulsory for a Muslims to satisfy as it is one of the Pillars of Islam. Next, performing hajj and umrah, we can overcome poverty and remove sins. Other than that, performing umrah after another umrah is sure to be given forgiveness for the sins committed in between. Lastly, it is mentioned in a Hadith that one who perform Hajj and does not approach his wife sexually, does not commit sins or speak abscene language as well as controlling his angers during this journey, once he is done performing Hajj, he would go back as the same day he was born.

What we will get from doing hajj:

- Hajj teach us to be patient with ourselves and other people. When we are in hajj, we cannot do things as we desire such as doing sexual intercourse with our wives and involves in argument with anger. Moreover, we will meet many people with different characters which needs a high patience to avoid committing sins that can affect our hajj.
- We also should not tell people about our goodness and actions to other people because Allah already knows what we did and only Him who needs to know about it.
- It is also important to have taqwa in ourselves to protect us from bad things .

Why hajj remind us about the Hereafter:

- People who perform hajj is the people with pure mind. Their mind are busy thinking and remember about Allah and not about the worldly matters.
-People who perform hajj will forget the worldly matters because they need to wear white clothes which is the cloth of death and hajj put us in a simulation of the Judgement Day where human are begging for forgiveness from Allah.

Ibrah:
-Hajj molds us to become a person with better characters which is good for ourselves and other people.
-People who perform their hajj perfectly have managed to experience the Hereafter situation which helps to increase their consciousness about the true life which is the life in the Hereafter.

The reasons why we need to perform hajj and umrah is hajj is one of the pillars of Islam, where it is required the Muslim to perform once in the life if we are able to go Mecca to perform hajj. It is a physically journey that Muslims believe offers a chance to wipe clean past sins and start a new life. It is like we reborn again after performing hajj. While, umrah means we visiting Kaabah before hajj or after hajj. Performing Umrah and hajj is also for remembering the story that happen to Hajar and his little son, Nabi Ismail where she run between Safa mount and Marwa mount to find a source of water and finally zam zam water has come out. The forbidden action during ihram is removing hair or nails from the body, wearing perfume on the garments of ihram, covering head for men and wearing stitched clothes for men, having intimate relationships, proposing to a woman and causing harm or killing animals. 

We need to perform hajj and umrah to overcome poverty and remove sins and bring us towards jannah as narrated in hadith by Imam Al-Tarmizi. Hajj and umrah are important for us to become a better person after coming back to our place.
