Our whole group was satisfied with the ending. The person that was chosen to be a scythe deserved it, but we had a debate about whether the other candidate deserved to be saved or not. We thought that at first because since they enjoyed killing, they didn't deserve to be saved. But unlike Scythe Goddard, they could control themself, maybe they could change for the better in the future.

My group liked the ending because it summed up the missing links in the story, like what happened to the other dreambenders, who Eleesha's unknown twin was, and what happened to Jeremy Lief. I, Carter Huynh, disagree with the rest of the group because things went way too smoothly for the characters. They did sum up the story, and the story ended happily, but I wish more action took place at the ending.

We would definitely recommend it. The pace of the novel starts off slow, but quickly speeds up. The book adequately describes the character's personality, and what was happening. We were not very confused when reading the book and enjoyed it.

Our group noticed that the ending was left on a cliffhanger. It also left us with a lot of questions. For example, one question is, what would be Mika and Ellie's parent's reaction to Ellie coming home? In the end, Mika finally reunites with his twin sister after a long, long year.

We thought that the ending was quite disappointing. The build up throughout the entire book set the precedent that the ending would be quite intense, but at the end there's just one or two pages explaining how Rowan and Citra got out of their situation. The whole book was making the problem a big deal until they solved it with a simple solution.

There wasn't much of a dramatic revelation or action, and it was quite boring.

Was it fair for a small group, no matter how kind or well-meaning to control the world? It seemed that all I had was questions.
