Something I wish I could tell myself a year ago is to stop focusing so much on school. I always put all my effort into getting good grades, which is obviously important, but the things I remember most are things like hanging out with friends and going places outside of school. I wish I would have talked with more people and spread my friend group. The more people I could’ve talked with, the more experiences and places I could’ve gone to. Now, I try my best to talk to as many people as possible and include anyone who doesn’t have anyone to talk with. I have been in a position of not having anyone to sit with and it is one of the worst feelings. However, whenever I am with others, I am always happy. The best memories I have from last year are when I went bowling with a group of friends, and went to a music festival in Miami. Keeping company with  my friends, and family as well, is extremely special to me. An unforgettable experience that I will never forget is a trip to Disney and Fort Wilderness with my Girl Scout troop over this past winter break. The trip consisted of 12 of my friends in the troop and 5 adults, which were mostly my friend’s parents. We started off in Magic Kingdom and went on Space Mountain, Mine Train, Splash Mountain, Pirates of the Caribbean, Small World, and many more. We had plenty of junk food and funnel cakes. After a long day of exploring and meeting our favorite characters, we saw the fireworks over Cinderella’s Castle. After a long day of fun we all went back to the hotel and slept over the night. The next morning, after having breakfast in the lobby, we went to Fort Wilderness, a woodsy campsite on Disney’s property. My mom, the troop leader, had set up a scavenger hunt for us all around the campsite. At age 14, someone can legally drive a golf cart, so three of the girls, one being me, drove a group of 4 around on a golf cart. Once we had found all the items, we returned back to the main cabin.
