The verb that is used in this tense is Verb 1. Simple present tense is divided into two sentences:

a. Nominal sentence: sentence that use “to be”.
    Formula: S + is, am, are + O/C (Nominal)
    Example: Flood is an overflow of an expanse of water that submerges land.

b. Verbal sentence: sentence that contain the verb.
    Formula: S + Verb 1 + s/es + O/C (Verbal)
     Example: This disaster brings a lot of bad effects to nature and people.

2) Connectors/ conjunctions
a. To mention several parts of arguments:
        Firstly, ......     Secondly, ......   Finally, .......
        First, ....         Second, .......     Also, .....
        Moreover,    Furthermore,    Additionally,  etc.

b. To summarize or to conclude the points 
        Summarizing: in short…, in brief…, to sum up, ...
        Conclusion: in conclusion, .....
