Most of the things I was used to doing normally in school, in person, changed drastically. A lot of my classes were different, which was a bit confusing at first. For example, yesterday some of the times of the classes were switched, which confused both 8th grade classes.  Overall, the first day of school this year, was A LOT different than any other of my past first days, however, that made it more interesting. Also, it was very nice catching up with friends, teachers, and everyone who i hadn't seen in a very long time. In conclusion, I somewhat enjoyed my first day and I'm genuinely excited for the remainder of the year.

The day started of with a welcome back meeting where we meet our teachers, I was relieved to find out my grade was split into two groups and who I would be separated from. After the meeting was over, my group went over to Ms. Chambers for our first class. The class went well, we talked about rules, expectations and what we would be doing all through out the year. After that, we went to Ms. Hilton's class which went basically the same. It was after lunch where the day went downhill. I was looking at the wrong schedule, so I believe that Ms. Cook was supposed to be next, but I didn't find a link, so I thought that she didn't know how to or that she forgot to. Moving towards the end of the day we didn't actually know what was going on, and there was a lot of mis-communication. I did have a good time though, it doesn't seem hard to me and i feel like our days are shorter and the work shouldn't be difficult because we can always help each other literally anytime. As soon as I woke up, the first thing I had to do was help my brother get on Teams, but it wasn't working. We kept trying and trying the whole morning, but it still wasn't working, so eventually we just stopped and waited until tomorrow. After I did that, I joined my meetings, and honestly I was disappointed. It could have been better. DCPS had the whole summer to prepare for online school but everything was even more disorganized than last year.
