So far, I have incorporated a choice board for a project. Students were able to choose from 9 different activities that included music, building, and fashion. I give students the option to work on some assignments with a partner or alone. Overall, I feel that this is an issue throughout middle school right now, the students are not aware of their actions and they do not think of the consequences. They are constantly touching one another, yelling, and acting inappropriately in the hallways and in lunch. We have the daily agenda on the board when they come into class and that way they know what to expect during the 80 minutes. Students are now working in book clubs and we are giving them around 30 minutes to just talk and discuss the book. The students are becoming more independent and relying less on the teachers and more on themselves and their peers.
