Though it would look much different to it did there, having students annotate their thinking as they do a question could be a really useful exercise. I have always encouraged my students to always speak out their ideas in a more precisely way but I need to also remind them of what they are doing well in order to motivate them

I liked the idea that students were working in pairs and doing a practical work of coming up with a cone. Learners were asking questions all the time and making their own conclusions

Learners were developing their thinking skills by linking information and figuring out the meaning of it. 

This is an important  skill which is required in Mathematics. Students were asked to swap register from informal to formal depending on the situation.
Communication skills link to all subjects. It’s also a very important life skill. In maths class, communications skills involve first of all understanding what the teachers or the peers are trying to communicate. Meanwhile, it’s of equal importance to get your ideas—like when you have questions or doubts, or when you have a different solution—across to others.

The project was initiated to encourage students to look at an issue from different perspective and therefore develop critical thinking. 
Critical thinking skills are essential in all disciplines. In mathematics, students should always be encouraged to solve maths problems with different methods, which will definitely sharpen their mind and polish their problem-solving capabilities in real life.

Even librarians were present to perform some duty.
Research skills are a lifelong skill set, which is about new information, channeling it, looking at synthesis, taking ideas from different places. Students will need to be able to access and retrieve information and meanwhile view the information available critically. Research skills are closely linked to other essential skills, just as the teacher put it in the video, research skills are not an “isolated bubble”. 
In maths classes, the students can be encouraged to collect data, analyze the data and figure out solutions for themselves. Research skills cultivate their mind and serves as a great enhancement to their problem-solving skills.
