The chalkboard was originally rejected by teachers who were unsure how to use and incorporate it into a school environment. However, the idea eventually became accepted and it became a vital stepping stone in the world of technology.

1950 - Filmstrip Projector

While believed to be invented in 1600's, the filmstrip projector was not incorporated into schools until around 1950. Using this technology was another way teachers were able to project material onto a surface that students could visually see.

Similarly to the filmstrip, the Overhead Projector was believed to be invented in 1853, but it first first involvement in schools was around 1960. This allowed students to follow along with the teacher while being able to watch their movement in real time.
