Inspiration

One of my main inspirations when it comes to making this music video would be Cole Bennett who is an american music video director and videographer. Cole Bennett even made his own music video production company named Lyrical Lemonade which was founded in 2013. He has made various music videos for many famous artists mainly within the rap/hip hop scene, people like: Juice WRLD, Trippie Redd, Lil yachty, Jack Harlow and Lil durk.

The reason why he is one of my main inspirations when it comes to music vidoes is because his videos are very sleek and always have very clean looking framing which makes the artist pop out of the screen which is somthing i want to implement with my music video. His shot selection within his music videos are also very well put together along side the sets that he puts together with his music videos, I am going to look at different shots from his music videos and seeing which ones I can take inspiration from and put into my own music video.

Music videos have various different genres to match the genre of song that the video is presenting, some of the common genres of music video you will see include narrative, performance, abstract, amimated, and lyric videos. These are all different genres of music videos which are used for specific types of music to enhance the viewer's experience in different ways.

The genre of my music video is going to be a mixture of narrative and performance which will have different performance scenes with someone reciting the lyrics to the camera and some other scenes are going to be more narrative which I am still planning.

The target audience for this music video is going to be people who are younger since the music within the video is more recent and I believe that a younger audience would be more likely to want to watch this music video. I think the gender of people who might want to watch this music video would be mainly male since the genre of music behind the video is a lot more male dominated compared to other genres of music.

The psychographic of people who would be interested in this music video could be the aspirer since people who listen to rap often want to live a similar lifestyle that the rappers have such as the expensive clothes and cars that these artists typically have. Therefore I would think that the people who would watch this music video would be people who want to work on themselves and get into a similar position as the rapper that they see within these music videos.
