Even though it is a plant from around the equator lots of people in cooler places are housing it. Some grow on the ground others grow in trees. They can be in many shades of red green and white. A pineapple is a bromeliad although it is tasty its stem contains the enzyme bromelain which is used to tenderize meat. People have found out videos of slugs eating baby birds they can rip off the skin and eyes off of a baby bird. Maybe they could do that to humans as well. I'd rather a wolf eat my face.
