—ㅤnari’s early pregnancy, and unexpected for grandmother ha, had her own “ideals” to temporary rest. the ha family quickly planned a wedding ceremony in seoul (for “damage control”, according to grandmother ha), a little earlier than hyungbin and nari desired, before officially letting the newly wed moved in the family home.

—ㅤbecause of the unprecedented pregnancy, as well as the constant nagging that she got from nari, grandmother ha had no choice but to stop instilling her dreams of a family heritage "worthy to be proud of" to her pregnant daughter. nari learned and successfully handled her own bakery, with hyungbin opening a goat farm; soon after, the couple managed to move out of the ha main household and build a home for their humble family.

—ㅤthe moment iseul was born, grandmother ha thought it was the perfect opportunity to use her grandchild as the next vessel in following her footsteps in politics.

—ㅤiseul, on the other hand, dreamed on inheriting the small “business” her mother and father established. her parents were not against such idea with the condition iseul study for university soon. grandmother dahye was displeased and claimed otherwise. even if her granddaughter was against it, iseul have met a couple of kids around her age whom she would spend (and is comfortable of spending) time with.

—ㅤby the age of ten, iseul was exposed to the world of medicine and health care through the movies her parents religiously watched. ever since then, the child was interested with working in the medical field.
—ㅤever so supportive, her parents sent her off to study in seoul in order to fulfill her own goals even if grandmother ha was against such notion.

—ㅤin between medical books and practices, iseul met the love of her life. they happened to have the same minor subjects and have made a bond through it. as it was different than the “normed”, the couple made an agreement not to make their relationship known for the time being (minus the couple of friends they garnered in the middle of university).

—ㅤduring her third year, iseul mustered the courage to talk about it to her parents with the expectations of them being “disappointed”, yet her parents were extremely supportive of their relationship. iseul officially introduced her girlfriend to her small, ha household during their summer break.

+ iseul purposefully skipped introducing her girlfriend to grandmother dahye (and with second motion from parents) in fear she might most likely not take this news lightly.

—ㅤthe relationship ended when iseul found out about her girlfriend's infidelity with a professor from a different university. with plans of proposal drained down the ditch, she pushed forward of her diploma. even if it was a struggle, iseul managed to graduate on time.

—ㅤwhen word of her granddaughter being in a relationship with a woman got out (and after their breakup), grandmother dahye was infuriated to the point she forced hyungbin and nari to disown iseul. extremely displeased with such behaviour, even if expected, that was the last straw for iseul.

—ㅤthe news reached grandmother ha, she used iseul's heartbreak as bait to lure her granddaughter into the world "she was destined to be in". with her submission as a long way to hopefully have her grandmother stop meddling with her own small family, iseul agreed to run for one of the office's position during election season.

— iseul is currently working as the town's treasurer, lucky enough to spend the office with the people she grew up with.

—ㅤneutralㅤextremely playful. takes importance of the reasons and purposes behind confrontations seriously. circles her personality around coffee just for laughs. whines a lot. procrastinates. observant.

—ㅤnegativeㅤpassive aggressive especially to people who did or do her wrong. pessimistic. forgetful. prideful. gets carried away with negative feelings and thoughts easily. has a hard time dealing with her emotions that it ends piling up until it gets too much.

the granddaughter not once has a memory shared with her grandmother fond and nostalgic; always reliving the itch she feels on her skin whenever she's forced to wear dresses either too big or too small for a young kid, all in the name of saving face in front of "friends" she doesn't know. and granddaughter ha has no plans patching their relationship now she's a grown up. iseul thinks that the only outcome she's most thankful for after attending the parties practically shoved down her throat are the friends she met along the way.

iseul owes her everything to her mother: for her wonderful birth and even more wonderful childhood with them, selflessly offering her arms with every upbringing with her grandmother, the uplifting (and genuine) encouragement whenever she accomplished even the smallest of things, for picking up the pieces of her daughter’s shattered heart even if it means she grows cracks of her own. everything that she does is for her, for their small ha household.

if mother nari is the moonlight that cradles her in the lull of sleep blanketed in its comfort, father hyungbin is the sunshine she never knows she would love to the bottom of her heart. behind every loud (almost obnoxious) laughter from iseul is a father who knows how to push her buttons just right. father is the constant reminder to take it easy; a little laughter comes a long way, as what he always says. everything that she does is for him, for their small ha household.

probably most likely the usual end of her joke, unprovoked or not. the man breathes and iseul has the need to scratch the itch of teasing him. even so, iseul respected the man and her teasing is one of the ways to show her affection; 1/3 of the reason as to why she likes working in the office.

her adoration to the woman ranges from wanting to be her sister even if she actively claims to be her sister to wanting to be her (platonic) wife. iseul finds deep comfort of the fact that she is soojin's workmate; her endearment stretching beyond cute nicknames (but best shows through it).
